Onyx Summit Snowshoe Write-Up
We’ll kick off the adventure with a drive to Onyx Summit, then strap on our snowshoes, microspikes or hiking shoes and backpack about 1 mile to the Pacific Crest Trail, where we’ll set up camp.
After we get settled, the fun really begins. Based on current snow conditions, we’ll decide our afternoon adventure:
If there’s plenty of snow, we'll decide what to build, shelter (or two) and/or an epic kitchen.
If snow is limited, we’ll lace up for a hike to Onyx Summit and take in some incredible mountain views.
Saturday night we’ll relax with a buddy-burner campfire and happy hour, enjoying good food, good company, and winter vibes under the stars.
Sunday morning, after breakfast, we’ll break down camp and hit the trial.
Important Note: Weather and snow conditions may require change of plans or could result in the trip being modified or canceled due to snow plow turn around points. Mud/Snow tires or tire chains may be required.
